17134589The Conspiracy of Us by Maggie Hall

Although I wasn’t a fan of the characters, The Conspiracy of Us has a fantastic plot that keeps just enough mystery to keep you flipping the pages. This is definitely a new series to get started on!

13206828Cress by Marissa Meyer

Cress
was exactly my kind of book. Swoony, fast-paced, and unpredictable. With my favourite characters to date, Cress blew its predecessors Scarlet and Cinder out of the water.

13206760 Scarlet by Marissa Meyer

After reading Cinder by Marissa Meyer, I was desperate for the next book, Scarlet. Cinder didn’t blow me away, but it did leave me anxious for what would happen next. Cinder just had a huge piece of information dropped on her head, and I was really desperate to see where it would take her.

Unfortunately, though I enjoyed reading Scarlet, it didn’t meet my expectations.

17617617Stray by Elissa Sussman

Stray
by Elissa Sussman had a strong beginning and middle, but the ending was very disappointing. Perhaps it’s because it’s the first in the series, but I finished the book feeling confused rather than anticipatory and wishing I had gotten more from the characters.

18460392All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven

All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven is funny and honest and heart-wrenching. I saw so many reviews and comments that gave me a pretty clear idea of the general direction of the story, but somehow, I was still shocked. The ending punched me, hard, and I was in complete and utter disbelief.
